What The Word of God Says

I am going to speak on this blog, nothing but the word of God,
No world events, no thoughts of my heart but the words of Jesus Christ, and what He says about self.

Self-assertion: Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Self-esteem/respect: Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
Self-sufficiency: 2 Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
Self-actualization:
Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Self-acceptance:
Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Self-control:
Ecclesiastes 7:9 Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.
Self-love:
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 39: And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
Self-help:
Psalms 54:4 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
Self-interest:
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Self-confidence:
Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Self-exaltation:
John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
Self-righteous: 1 Corinthians 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
Self-image:
2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Self-motivation:
2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ constrained us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
Self-improvement:
Philippians 2:14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
Self-pity: James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3:Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
Self-dependent:
2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is ade perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Self-conscious:
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Self-can do nothing:
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
May the grace of God speak to your heart.
